www.filmmakersalliance.org Filmmakers Alliance is a Los Angeles filmmaking community that offers monthly meetings, seminars, filmmaking labs and networking for $125 per year.

www.filmla.com Film LA is the permitting authority for Los Angeles and parts of LA county. If you need to shut down a street or engage in stunts or pyrotechnics, they will guide you through the process and obtain the approvals required for the permits. 

www.wif.org Women in Film is an organization that promotes women in the film industry. They have seminars, mixers, screenings etc.
